Ronseal Gloss paint -not what it says on the tin!

Currently redecorating rental property and have had some new primed MDF window cills fiited. While not as white as some of the 'primed' MDF boards I have used in the past, it is a long way from being bare wood.
My partner recently painted them and when I arrived back from holiday a day or so later, the result was not really as expected

She had also done some of the existing painted areas in another room after sanding them down a little, the result was pretty close to the image above.
Dodgy batch or something we have done wrong? I only bought this particular paint as it was non-drop, one-coat and supposedly guaranteed white for 10 years!
I intend to send them an email and even see what B&Q say, but curious if anyone here has an opinion.
Thanks

IMO, it looks like the primes that was on the window sills wasn't compatible with the Ronseal paint.
This might be why the instructions for the paint state that you should use their one coat wood primer before applying the gloss.

The tin has additional information for pre-painted wood, basically, sand and paint, just as you would expect to re-gloss and the result is very similar.

Was going to let it dry, rub it down again and use dulux at least that is a known result.0
