Patio Doors

I have an existing tilt and slide patio door which has been broken for a while. To shut the door I have to stand on a stool as one of the arms at the top is broken and the door sometimes comes off the bottom rail and it's hard work trying to hold it in position with one arm and getting it back on the rail at the bottom.
I have been relucant to change this as when I have the kitchen ripped out and a new one put in, I want to widen the gap and have bifolding doors.
However, I am now 21 weeks pregnant and once again the morning the door came off the runner. I am also not goint to be able to climb up onto the stool for much longer to close the door properly.
I still eventually want the bi fold doors but it seems I am not going to have to replace this door for now.
What would be the cheapest way to do this? I was thinking of measuring it and looking for a second hand door for now? But who would fit this? A builer?
Many thanks for any advice.

Is it not possible just to get the broken 'arm replaced. Try looking on eBay for replacement fitting.0
