Can anyone advise me on MLOAN LPOOL 990271. I found this on old bank statements from 2001/2 - a busy time in my life and cannot remember what the payments were for, or who to. I am wondering if I may reclaim.

From the size of the payments it may have been for car purchase and included a PPI.0

Who do you think sold it you to? If a broker or the dealer, it would be pre regulation.0

That's the problem. Too long ago and too many house moves, I am just trying to locate the account and go from there. Searching on Google I note that I am following the footsteps of others and hope I get lucky. Thanks for your help.0

Pre regulation means it's unlikely they have to consider your complaint (they could just dismiss it)0

As others have said, I think you are going to struggle with this if all you have is bank statements showing such payments.
No PPI is itemised and you are unlikely to be able to trace the account simply from that reference number.
Even if you manage to circumvent those hurdles, a car loan from 1997 is pre-regulation of general insurance sellers which didn't happen until 2005.0
