A bit of give and take:

Instead of paying to have the wood from a tree trunk taken away I freecycled it as a load of logs and they have gone.

I gave a neighbour 6 eggs from my chooks, she gave me a box pf eating apples.

the major thing we did was go to a car boot to get rid of old stuff, it was quite quiet due to an old firm football match, but still made a decent amount for getting rid of clutter. we are going tomorrow as well, hopefully it will be busier.

made homemade soup and took flask of soup, flask of tea and sandwiches to the boot sale so didn't spend any money on dear food there.

hubby made a delicious hm version of a chinese dish for dinner.

    evening :)

    Today I've:

*scoured the charity shops for Christmas presents - spent £1 on a book for me, and £1.50 on a present for friend's son (he's due a baby brother/sister this week, and will need to feel special!)

*Had cuppa and a cake at table top sale - grand total of 80p - for 2 of us!

*Shopped in Netto - £16 for the next fortnight (together with what's in the house)

*stayed in this evening - I'm busy giving the kitchen floor a good scrub... :)

Tomorrow we're off for a bike ride (free exercise), and a friend is coming with a petrol strimmer to my allotment - then I can start planting things again...

Bad news is - I've lost my flippin spending diary!!! I'm so cross :( this is the 2nd one I've lost :( And I'm so so good at keeping track of everything, and now I have no record! I'm still writing everything down somewhere else in case I find it, but no idea how much is left of each budget, bah!

    Hi

I have done my piggy clicks, quidco clicks too and used boots points to buy cleanser etc that I needed.
Started having a look around for cheap christmas pressie ideas too.
Also probably most MSE part of day - turned down an invite to a candle party! have no need for more candles as I have a HUGE bag of tealights from IKEA! I knew if I went I'd end up feeling I'd have to buy something to be polite... It hacks me off that people have these parties though and invite the girls round for some wine and to make some money! maybe I'm too cynical but they can come to mine anytime with a bottle and I won't show them my ebay listings and pressurise them to buy! Sorry rant over.

    Hiya honeys!

    This week I plan to
    • Switch gas and leccy suppliers again. (there are some deals on Quidcos and Uswitch says we can save if we change so I'll sort that out.)
    • Go through everyone's wardrobes and see if there's anything I can eBay (Did mine last night.)
    • Buy a lovely snuggly chunky long cardigan that I can wear when I'm at home during the day so that I don't need to have any heating on.
    • Get hold of cheap fleece blanket so that I can make a cosy poncho (Cheers Pooky! :T )
    • Sort out more clutter for next weeks car boot.
    • Focus on Christmas now and get it sorted.
    • Keep supermarket shopping to a minimum as it's the last week of the October Grocery Challenge and check out the Tesco threads for help.
    • Finish knitting my lo-o-o-o-o-ong chunky scarf.
    • See if we can get the 100 years worth of layers or wall paper off the walls in the hallway without having to pay somebody or hire a steamer.
    • NOT go to any Virgin Vie Nutrimetics, Ann Summers or candle "parties" this week.
I agree with you Skint Spice. The last Virgin Vie party I went to the hostess had £300 to spend on goods as her reward, plus the rep must have had at least as much as she was doing the work - so how much was the stuff we all bought actually "worth"??? And I took a bottle of wine and some HM cookies with me to be polite! (I am such a sucker!)

Hope you find your diary Cheery Daff!

And I love the genius of listing your chopped down tree as logs Spirit! :T

Hope your back settles down soon wokboy. :(

Here's to a good DFW week!

    Love Jacks xxx :D
