Hey, I recently bought the motorola pulse escape+ over ear headphones. They cost £35 which is a lot since i've been saving for AGES doing extra work and chores.
When i bought them i was ecstatic audio quality wan fine and perfectly fine, the body however seemed very weak which worried me. As if on Que i got home from a bad day at school then when i lied down, about to listen to something, the extendable part snapped! the headphones are adjustable so i can extend and shorten them and when i went to do so it just snapped off!
i instantly panicked since the only thing holding it together was the wire going into the right ear(which contained the charging port and everything important) but to my surprise they still worked perfectly fine i then super glued it which worked for about 4 days till today when it stopped charging therefore it wont turn on.
now it covered by warranty therefore i can take it back to Argos however i firstly don't have the box(i was so excited to use them i ripped out the box and lost the box on the way home:( ) and secondly i don't know if Argos will let me replace it if i was technically the cause of the damage even though i was simply trying to adjust the headphones as advertised. Thanks for hearing me out and please help me out im seriously distraught with my earphones quick death.REMINDER IT WILL BE OLDER THAN 30 DAYS BY THE END OF THE WEEK SO PLEASE PLEASE ADVICE ME ASAP THANK YOU!

Accidental damage is not something that will be covered under warranty. You might be lucky but don't count on it.0

Take it back to them for inspection.
You may have a problem if it's apparent that you have attempted to repair obvious accidental damage with superglue, but you won't need the box if the item is faulty.
In normal circumstances Argos will replace the item without quibbling.0 -

They're not going to snap just by you lying down. Did you put pressure on them?0 -
Hello and welcome to MSEAs if on Que cue i got home from a bad day at school then when i lied down, about to listen to something, the extendable part snapped!
Did your "bad" day result in you being a little more heavy-handed, a little less careful than normal? If not, I'm slightly puzzled as to why you mentioned it was a "bad" day :heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Take them back to Argos and explain you tried to repair but that was unsuccessful. You do not need the box, but you will need a receipt. If you don't have that a credit card receipt would suffice as proof of purchase."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
