Barclaycard claim help, postal application .

Hi

I recently received a sum of money from Barclaycard after having paid PPI for 16 years . They refused to acknowledge PPI was misold to me as I originally made a postal application for the card, but did pay back commission on the premium .
Another major credit card which i took out in a similar fashion at the same time paid out in full, not just the commission , a considerably larger sum .
I've been approached by an agency that bizarrely seems to be fully aware of my situation who have said they can win more money back but really not sure where i stand and whether this is something I should be doing myself . I used Resolver originally, which was fantastic but feel a little intimidated taking the claim further on my own .

Any advice welcome .

  • Don't touch them with a bargepole.

    A) They cannot submit a new complaint
    B) They're lying

Neither you nor this company can "win more money" on your rejected PPI complaint.

You need to understand that your PPI complaint was rejected and you received only a Plevin refund of undisclosed commission.

The fact that you had a successful PPI complaint with another lender is completely irrelevant I'm afraid.

Having said all that, if your Barclaycard complaint was within the last six months you are still at liberty to refer the complaint to the Ombudsman if you feel you were rejected unfairly. It should go without saying that there is no need to employ a third party Claims Company to do this for you.
