OK and you will know from the NEWBIES thread that this is not your only job/paperwork before the hearing, by any means. So read ahead about the DQ, and then WS/evidence stage. Be prepared!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad! Yes, i have read ther newbie section end to end, plus all the links in there. Also done some homework on Practice Direction, POFA, BPA and so on...not ready yet but i will be! Your input is greatly appreciated, and i!!!8217;m sure i!!!8217;ll be calling upon it again if i need to.

Good, we know what we are doing and in 2017 only two people lost here, out of all the hundreds who reported their court (or discontinuance) outcomes, after being fully coached from start to finish. No risk, even if you lost you'd just pay in the end, £150 - £200, no CCJ. And it's very rare.
So the odds are hugely in your favour if you keep coming back with drafts & questions.
It's people who post a defence then rock up again 4 months later, saying it's their hearing next week, who waste their time and ours...we despair when we see that and find out they never sent in a WS & evidence saying: 'didn't know I had to...I did my defence...'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all, if anyone is still following my little thread here, I have an update!
My court date was set for a couple of weeks time, and they needed to pay the court fee, but instead of getting the case struck out for non payment of the court fee, they have discontinued the case.
Can someone please confirm if that is it now? Final, done and dusted?!!
I also want to say a huge thank you all for your help and advice, you do a great service to us all who have found ourselves being intimidated by these bullies!
Thank you, and keep up the good work!0 -
If the claimant has told you that, you might want to confirm the discontinuation with the court.
Give them a ring.0 -
Thanks Keith, I got that info from the court, not Civil Enforcement. I presume i will get a letter from the court in due process.
I called them today as the deadline for CE to pay the court fee has passed.0 -

Yay, well done to you - another one bites the dust, they all count as wins!

Never seen CEL actually rock up to court, except when someone clearly wanted an easy case to go to a hearing, for their own kudos, which regulars here know and laugh about behind their back, but that's another story...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
