It is not a fine.

The advice to ignore has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.

Edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper.

Once you have done that, please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES that was just below where you clicked the New Thread button, and then send the appeal template you will find there.
If/when they reject it, you will need to construct a PoPLA appeal using the template points available from the NEWBIES.

Send the template appeal from post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread just as it is.

Do not give away clues to the driver's identity.

Please can you now delete your earlier post from that other thread. Thanks.

You also need to edit your post on the first thread you posted on.

Thank you deleted as requested your reply still shows

That's OK, Keith's reply doesn't show anything incriminating.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
