Store card claim rejected, but mentions Pelvin?

Hi All,
I'm looking for a little advice here.
I've attempted to reclaim PPI from Santander on a store card taken out in 2000. They have rejected the claim as a non advised sale.
I'm happy enough to take it to the FOS and have done this for other claims before, but the last page of the letter says 'You may be due redress in respect of an undisclosed commission charged by SCUKL (commonly referred to as a Pelvin complaint) ... We will write to you again in due course to tell you our view on this aspect of your complaint...'
Should I sit tight and wait for them to review, or should I send straight to the FOS?
Thanks
Simon

This suggests that your reasons for complaint were things that only impact on advised cases and not those that impact on non-advised cases. Advised cases have a higher standard and some complaint reasons only affect advised cases.I've attempted to reclaim PPI from Santander on a store card taken out in 2000. You go to the FOS straight away if you disagree with their response and feel you can counter it. However, do be aware of the differences of advised and non-advised sales if your complaint reasons are issues that only apply to advised sales. The FOS will look at this complaint on the basis they believe it to be and wont consider advised sale reasons on non-advised sales. Most store cards were non-advised.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
