Insurance for Musical Equipment

Hey there,
I'm a semi-professional musician with enough gear that I need to insure it. However, where the cover really counts for me is having it covered outside the home. For example, covering it for when it is left overnight in a secure practice room (I play drums, so really it lives in said practice room). It doesn't seem like home insurance can provide that extent of outside-of-home cover.
I've seen insurance specifically for musical equipment that has this type of cover.
My question is, if you are a musician with insurance, what have you found to be better and cheaper - specifically-musical-equipment insurance or home insurance with all risks add-on?

This doesn't answer your specific questions, but in the past as a semi-professional photographer, I insured my equipment with a specialist company, as my contents insurance simply wouldn't cover it for any sort of pro use, plus I needed public liability for some events. Specialist professional cover does include extras you won't get with home contents - such as the hire of replacement gear.
I used a company called Photoguard and knew that they also did musical instruments for pros; Musicguard. I never made a claim (which is perhaps the best test of their service) with them thankfully, but always found them cheerful and obliging and over the several years I was with them, was happy with their service - plus I sent several other musician friends to them who were also happy. I suspect this may well be one of the places you've already considered:

I would recommend musicguard.
Your home Insurance will not cover items used professionally or semi professionally0
