Hi there
I was contacted at the start of February 2018 saying I was entitled to SDP As I was told I had to write a letter telling them no one stayed with me during this phone I was told that it would be dealt with 5 days so then I phoned up and was told I wkhld get a call back so the other day I had a back saying I was entitled to it but she's is just calculating the back dated payment so this morning I got a phone call saying it was sent to the checking department as someone else needs to sign it off can anyone help me on this how long do I have to wait now as I have nearly waited a month when it get back dated to I started esa 2014 as I was on dla is 1999 then got changed to pip last year

The criteria for SDP is here:

You should get it backdated to when you became eligible.
If it is a largish payment then it does have to be checked and authorised.
No particular time limit as to how long it will take. It depends on how busy they are and varies from area to area.
All you can do is regularly telephone and see what is happening or just wait until it is paid.
