Any comment appreciated. DRAYTON DIGISTAT 2RF Plus
Options
having purchased a new house, the first thing I did was renewing the central heating system.
The heating from the Worcester Bosch boiler is controlled by a DRAYTON DIGISTAT 2RF Plus, which is the most complicated controlled I have ever seen and I have used a number of controllers over the years.
It is not a straightforward controller to programme, found on-line few videos but none seems to give an easy method to programme.
I wonder if anyone is using this thermostat who can share their experiences or give a quick way of how to programme it. Am currently using the pre-set programmes when we want the heat on and when switching it off we do it manually by selecting the "Holiday mode" which is ridiculous.
what is required is for the heat to go on and off at certain times just like other controllers from Vaillant, Potterton,,,,,
Also, would it be wise to just replace it with another controller thermostat???
the hotwater controller on the boiler itself is fine. :T:T
thanks....

This is a programmable Thermostat, just think about what temperature you require at various times.
instructions

Thanks for your reply and the PDF file.
I actually downloaded this document before Xmas and followed the instruction but for some reasons unknown to me, the thermostat keeps reverting to its original programme.
I honestly tried hard not to compare it to my previous thermostat (digital one from Vaillant) which was so easy to programme but am struggling with this rf plus0 -
I use the Digistat+3 which replaced an older Drayton which failed after many years. I've always found it simple enough to setup and I'm guessing it's not changed much from yours although I don't have that weird wireless bit.0

the rectangular ones are a pain to program, and very time consuming.
you can have 4 or 6 switch points during the day.
and 7 days a week. (maybe that it the '3')
The more you pick, the longer it takes to program
I think you need to go right through to the end, to the clock setting, it will then save your settings0 -
So on mine you press > +
to adjust the times.
You then should see times and temperatures.
So you program it for the tempetature you want it to be from that time.
Use the > button to go to the next setting.
Use + - to adjust the value.
Go through all of them until you get to the clock, and then >
back to the normal display and it will be saved
If you want the heating off for a few hours, just use the - key a couple of times to get the temperature below the set value0 -

and

think need to ensure do all the way through to the last point and then it should be saved I think. I do not have this exact model .0
