Yes my DD bday is in November. Think small and simple will be the key this year. Maybe see if you can get one thing a week and put it aside, even if its a tin of beans lol. There must be some toy shop sales coming up soon.

Trouble is as they get older they would like more gadgets ie Nintendos, ipod etc. Will have to put my thinking cap on.

I remember when I was younger my M+D used to buy one larger main present and then lots of little bits to bulk up. Think I might do that, buy lots of little hair stuff and writing stuff, that I will no doubt be complaining about being everywhere before long lol.
  • Hi Roxy, just popping in to see how you're doing. I remember my parents doing one big present and bits and pieces too. I loved it - more presents to unwrap :) Little cheap make-up sets, pez dispensers, fluffy pencils, mini torches... stuff like that were always a hit - or kits to keep us busy to make our own. Candle making sets were always good cos mum would help and we could make ones for ourselves or presents for other people. Might not suit everyones kids but we loved it. I think it's a great idea x
