I have it here.

Did it tell you very clearly that you had a 95% chance of getting a loan...or getting a loan at 2.9% (or 2.8%, you seem unsure of the rate)?Prof_FrinkProf wrote: »Done it! Sainsburys bank at 3.1%! Thanks everyone for their help.
I think it's a bit miss leading that when you use the soft search on here it advises you that you have a 95% chance of getting a loan at 2.9% when in fact, you don't!0 -

It says the rate is representative (and if you mouseover this it explains what this means) and your eligibility further down.
I suppose to the uninitiated they may assume that means an x% chance of getting the loan at that rate.0 -

Dont worry about the score, TSB could have check the 2 agencies I mentioned but anyway I dont think you will get the headline rate anywhere else but no harm in trying a second lender.Deleted_User wrote: »I have it here.

Im sure I can beat that, let me check the system, yes I rate you at 500 Prof, makes you a 60% chance of acceptance.0 -
There is a soft search function on the TSB site that gives an indication of the APR they will offer you. I used this just over a week ago and it came up with 2.9% for £20,000. I applied and they gave me the loan at this rate....
...I then went to Nationwide who very kindly then beat this by 0.5%"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0
