DFS - how to buy

I might buy a sofa from DFS. I know they have a mixed reputation so wondered how I should buy.
If I buy on CC I would have some extra protection on top of my normal rights.
If I bought on their 0% finance, I guess it would be a lot more difficult if something went wrong?

Nope, same protection.0 -
You're being very generous saying they have a mixed reputation.
My advice for anyone looking to buy from DFS would be.....don't.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

On the other hand, I've always had sofas from DFS and never had any issues.0 -

Ditto. Leather sofas going to be 14 years old this summer and still looking good. Perhaps we are the lucky few.0 -

I doubt DFS would still be in business if the majority of their customers were not content with their purchases.
However, the manner in which they deal with complaints, when they do occur, is poor judging solely by the complaints on this forum.
This is something potential buyers might want to be aware of.0 -
I would put a deposit on the CC and then use finance - I believe you are covered for the full amount on your credit card even though you have paid a portion, so covered by both if any problems0

Currently lounging on a 16 year old, DFS soft leather suite. Not had any problems and still looks good.0

I've found their customer services good - had a snapped spring in a chair - fixed within a week with no quibbles.0

If it arrives with any damage don't accept it.0
