Issues for Barclays Mobile App

Options
Has anyone else had problems this morning with the Barclays mobile app? I went to log in this morning and it came up that they were experiencing technical problems. So I came out and tried again. The app had totally wiped and wanted me to set it up again. Unfortunately as I never use the cards, I have no idea what the pin numbers are. So I now have to wait 3 -5 working days before I can regain access to my mobile or online banking accounts (I use the mobile verification when logging into online banking....so hence the mobile crashing has left me unable to access either) the wait is due to needing a new pin number and I am advised this is how long it will take.... Rather annoying.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

Don't they offer any telephone banking service? It might not be a preferred method, but it still gives you account access without having to go in to branch.

Unfortunately you cannot regain access to the app via the telephone banking service. They can do certain things, including issuing a new pin. It may be that even with a new pin it will have to be activated via one of their cash points.

I wasn't suggesting that you could regain access to the app via telephone banking. I was suggesting that you could manage your account via telephone banking in the intervening period while waiting for your PIN.
