Swapping energy tariff
Hi there, just a quick question. I was looking to change my British Gas energy tariff to there new cheaper deal as advertised on the MSE website. But my existing tarif doesn’t end with British Gas until November. So my question was will I have to pay the early exit fee by swapping tariffs?
Thanks Jack

That's a difficult question!
It varies!
Ask yourself how much you will save between now and november
(not a lot unless you cook by gas)
I believe you need a smart meter installed too0 -
Depends on the terms of your current tariff-which one is it? If the exit fee is supplier-linked, then no. If tariff-linked, then yes.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
