USA visa advise

GBH is a crime involving moral turpitude, anyone convicted of this crime will find it very difficult to enter the states. Even with a conviction for theft you're denied a visa, as my brother was, he had to get a special visa approved by homeland security before he could travel to the states. If you were not convicted of the crime and your criminal record is clean, you shouldn't have any issues when applying for your visa at the embassy.
The issue is that your record in not clean. People don't realise that although found 'not guilty' this still appears on your criminal record, and in many cases must be disclosed.
You will likely be fine unless you have an immigration official having a very bad day. The good thing about going through the visa process is that you know you will be fine when you arrive in the US - I always hate their immigration procedure. It always makes me feel guilty even though I have nothing to be guilty of!
If you have a choice of your route, I would suggest flying via ireland and pre-clearing immigration.. It is slightly more relaxed than the big US hubs.0 -
If there are no conviction's, cautions or admission of guilt, how can they deny a visa? unless there's other grounds such as no ties to home country etc.0

I know, but i don't think the OP will have a problem obtaining a visa.0

op, this website is excellent for u.s immigration advice, from people who have been through the process and have a lot of knowledge.0 -
I highly doubt they would deny a non-immigrant visa under criminal grounds just because of an allegation. Like i said if they have other grounds of denying the visa such as intending to work when applying for a tourist one then yes they will deny. They can also deny if you were rude to the consular.0

It's much more easier to get a visa or a visa waiver if the op is applying for a non-immigrant one.0

In my experience, having now applied for 2 visas (B2) , you will be fine and get a visa no problem other than time and expense.0
