If you do try raw you could look at Kiezebrink for 'novel' proteins which he has not eaten before. I would also maybe try Krill/fish oil or Hemp seed oil which could both be good for his skin.0

I think you should see a vet and do some tests on your cat to see the real cause. Steroids only tend to lessen the symptoms and are not really curing the problem.0

Hi Iamzee, as I explained above I am currently only his foster carer, he is under the care of a vet at the cat shelter and I cannot take him to a vet of my choice or explore any other options until ownership is transferred to me. I absolutely agree that steroids are not a solution which is why I started the thread in the first place - to ask what I might try once I own him and can explore treatment options properly.
