I have posted before for advice on a parking charge notice issued to me as keeper. This is a big thank you to the forum experts!!!
Back in October, I received a parking charge from ParkingEye as keeper of a car parked at Melton House, Watford. This turned out to be a hotel that a party known to me visited and didn't pay a parking fee. I knew where this car park was and went and took my own photos, parking elsewhere of course, with my son who is disabled and therefore using his blue badge before putting him in his stroller and walking to the hotel.
The signs for the contract were small, fitting perfectly to the concrete pillars supporting an upper deck to the car park. The payment machines were in the opposite corner to the hotel doors, so you wouldn't even notice it as a 'payment expected' car park.
Following advice from this forum, I appealed to ParkingEye and this was turned down. I took this to POPLA with the postal route so I could send the template letter from the sticky threads (adjusted to suit my case) with the photos. This letter had the two main arguments of sign size and visibility, given that this parking charge was incurred in the autumn when signs would be less visible, plus I wanted to see their contract with land owner to give them permission to collect fees.
I have now received notification both from ParkingEye and POPLA that the appeal is not contested and is allowed. I have no charge to pay.
I don't access these forums very often. I work away from home in Switzerland (minus 6 degrees forcast daytime temperature next week!!!). I will try to get on briefly for the next few weekends. If you have an issue with Melton House, Watford, you are welcome to adapt my letter and use my photos. I think it was a Holiday Inn hotel.
Thanks again to the experts who put up the sticky thread. Use it guys!!! It really helps
Cheers

Well done @stevewiz. :T. Here's your original thread for those in a similar position.
