PS4 How to Sign into playstation network

Can someone please advise how I can do the above as my son is asking me and have to go all way on the consul but no luck

If he's already got an account set up on his PS4 you usually just turn it on, select his name and press X and it'll sign in automatically.

done that but still get msg need to log in

His username and password are not working for whatever reason, simply.
I can't help you much beyond that...

Press up on the control pad to access the Function menu and go to [Settings] > [PlayStation Network] > [Sign in].
Enter your Sign-in ID (Email Address) and password and select [Confirm].
If the PlayStation 4 system is not already activated as your Primary PS4 you will be asked if you want to activate it.

Can some send me screen print as per the above to ensure have the correct screen and login as have the email address set up not sure why not working

Hi may sound like a silly question but how do i get to this stage on my PS 4 counsel as connected to the tv

when you turn on the ps4 you have a option to select users. Select your user account and then once inside, click the up arrow on the controller and then click right until you come to "settings" now look for "PlayStation Network/Account Management" and click that, then select "Sign In"
