WCA reassessment

I was granted another 3 years in the 'support group', without a f/f in August 2017. On the 29th September 2017 the DWP announced that claiments in the support group would not be required to undertake further WCAs. My question is as my condition is unlikely to change for the better, I have progressive MS, I am paralysed from the waist down with limited use of my left arm and am confined to a powerchair. Is their anyone, or dept I can contact, with my award coming so close to this ruling, to grant this ruling apply to me? Or should I wait until the brown envelope comes again.

That's not true. Not everyone in the Support Group would come under the criteria for this. It was anounced if you did come under the criteria then you would be told after the next re-assessment.
  • I think you will need to go through the porcess and be assessed again to see if you meet the exempted criteria. When it happens send all your evidence in, things from doctors and your care team relating to how your conditions isn't going to improve in the long-term.

It looks like I have been awarded 3 years in the support group. I'm thinking about appealing it as I have a chronic condition. The assessor hardly had any information on me when in-fact I have extensive support from the learning disability team and my condition is Schizoaffective Disorder which again is down as chronic.

As stated previously you'll need to speak to your appointee about this because they will have to ask for the MR and not you.
