Provisional car insurance

Wondering if anyone has any advice I'm looking to insure my car as a provisional driver. I've searched all the comparison websites with both a provisional and a full license to get an idea of prices.. but the lowest quotes aren't with the same insurers for either licence.
Am I likely to have to change insurers to get the better price once I have passed? I'm planning on paying monthly..
Any advice much appreciated...

Unless you get provisional cover with an insurer prepared to also cover you when you pass the test then you will have to cancel at that time and go elsewhere0

Paying monthly is likely to increase the costs.
I could have insured my little one for £400 with a provisional policy with only her as the owner/keeper/driver but the instant she passes the insurance expired.
The cover for that particular car was super expensive for a new driver so that would have been a great present. Congratulations on passing your test but now you need to sell the car.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
