Reusable Nappies

Does anyone use these reusable nappies at all? I would like to try them with my son and with any subsequent babies (fingers crossed :D ). How do you get one with them? They would save such a huge amount in nappies if I got it right. I've narrowed them down to Tots Bots and Little Lamb, any ideas/advice?

Thanks

    Hi Wendy.
I used Tots Bots for my DS for almost 1 year and i cant recommend them enough. I used them with motherease wraps.
    I used disposables at night.
    Try them!

  • Hi

I've used them since my DD was 10 days old (now 19 months!) and wouldn't switch to disposables if you paid me!

You need to get to a nappachino or find a nappy agent in your area to get a feel for the different types of nappies. I've used Tots but now use Motherease One Size. Have always used Motherease wraps though and can't recommend them highly enough.

    Good luck

Have a look at the real nappies thread on the green and ethical board, plenty of tips and links for you in it.

  • I used reusable nappies when ds4 was little & I found Tots Bots nappies with a Tots Redwrap were excellent at night & I used the Motherease nappies with Motherease wraps during the day & they were great too.
  • i loved my tots - never used a fleece wrap as afraid of wicking lol. My best tip would be dont buy one brand! buy a few of several types. Lollipop do a fab nappy that drys super quick called the softee, i love fuzzi bunz but i find them too costly to use full time and i also love prefolds and terries with a nippa. Just done tie yourself to one brand incase you decide you dont like them or get on with them :)

I agree with Littlemiss about the softees - fantastic nappies for drying and feel so lovely - plus they have a crossover on the velcro which is great for a small/slim baby. I also like Fuzzi bunz but they are expensive. Best advice is as has been said find a nappy agent (lolipop are good or some hospitals will have details of someone local) or a nappachino so you can get your head round the different styles and then borrow some to try before you buy and then I would buy a variety just because some dry quicker than others, some are more absorbent etc.

i have just bought the bambino mio and also one life nappies for this baby. i used the bambino mio nappies for my last baby and thought they were great but liked the look of the one life nappies this time around. keep looking on ebay for deals thats what i have been doing and now have more than a birth to potty set and you would be lucky if i have spent £60, these have all been brand new also. my best buy was the one life set as they are £75 for the bag in my local shop and i got the same set on ebay for £26!!!!

Try these sites for used nappies as you can't get them on ebay now:
