Refund timeframe

Bought something online, changed mind before it was dispatched but was too late got returns label.

Im not 100% sure on the refund timeframes, I took it to the delivery service they gave me label for but it sat in the store for about 9 days before being taken and took another 3 days to be returned.

2 more days have passed and I am being told it takes 2-3 weeks for refund to be processed as it needs scanned in.

Im just unsure as I thought it was 14 days to refund, but is that 14 days from postage, or 14 days from receipt, and is that working days or all week?

Have a look at Regulation 34 of The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, in particular paragraphs (4), (5) and (6).
