I have just got home to find a message on my answerphone saying its from Skycard Fraud Dept and can I call them back on 0800 0567391. I have just logged into my account and nothing appears to be wrong. Just wanted to check on here if its a scam before I call them back tomorrow

Why not ring Skycard from a number on the website, and check that the number you've been given is one of theirs? Don't know what else you could do.

As a matter of interest, what was it that alerted them that your card had been cloned

ok, now that my card has been cloned I will keep an eye on my experian file but is it worth joing CIFAS and/or what else should I be doing

Just a bit concerned as this has never happened to me before.

    Hi mate
i know it's not nice but don't panic it's happened to me. Sky are aware of it now so you'll get back any transactions they've made. No need to worry about your credit file as cloning only copies a card they have no access to your personal information. However as you've said just to be on the safe side keep an eye on your file anyway.

cards are cloned in shops/petrol stations etc.. by dodgey employees i should imagine the culprit wil be caught soon since all credit card companies share fraud information, at the very least they'll know which outlet is cloning cards in your area.
