  • Done a big aldi shop tonight came to £59.66. Was really surprised as there was so much. Enough nappies and wipes to last 2 weeks, and a few things i only buy monthly like washing detergent, soap, kitchen roll and toilet roll. Also have dinner for tues and sat ( these are the only nights i have to cook, so this saves alot, MIL makes food for the kids whilst im at work)
Then got lots of snacks and fruit. Basically enough that i shouldnt have to go to the shop until at least the weekend to get some more bread and maybe a weekend treat. I had budgeted £75 a week so iv £15.34 until next wed for food shopping.

Yesterday was a no spend day. I did spend £2 for toddlers group but im not eilling to cut that as its good value and daughter loves it.

Today iv been productive with the hours i had (nursery went in an hour later today)
I went to sainsburys and got a rapunzal, anna from frozen and captain America costume all £15 reduced to £4.50!!! Iv put this away for kids birthdays they love dressing up but really grudge full price. I then bought another captain america one and kinder eggs for a party we have at the weekend.
I then got 210 euros for our holidays in May and got passport forms. The lady at the post office told me its going up £12 next year! So i will be £138 for an adult and childs passport. I will see how the month is going and then try and get at least one this month
I picked the kids up and then we went sledging just in the playgroubd and home for a cosy afternoon as we are all so tired today.

So i spent - £21 in sainsburys for the costumes and eggs £60 on electricity (should last 3 weeks)

DS fell and split his bed open at grandmas tonight and i met them at a&e i think i might have to spend a little bit tomorrow as he was so good (as in £5 between them all)
I only was at work 30 mins when i got the call so im worried i might not get paid, unfair if i dont though as what can i do but leave?
Anyway DS got glued back together but hes woke up 3 times screaming in agony saying his head hurts but is spitting out and refusing any medicine the joys of 4 year olds.
we still have bad snow and when i was coming home tonight it seems a bit icy now i have a 4×4 and was still struggling a little bit. Hope it clears a little at the weekend!

Oh no I hope your son is a bit better this morning. I agree about treating them for being so good. And I do hope you get paid for last night.

We have slid back to our old ways already its so hard! Went to the little shop to get milk and spent £8 on treats for the kids and a pizza for lunch (weve plenty in our house for lunch) then DH went to tesco and spent £19 on fizzy drinks, wine and weekend treats. In his defense he got a good deal and should last him 2 weeks but still its alot for very little

The electric key meter you have got will eat up electric like nobodies business, they are always set to a higher tariff, you would be bette off changing to a meter and setting up a DD to pay monthly
Did I see you and DH have set yourself a personal spending budget,if so the treat etc should come from there then you won’t mess up your budget in other areas :D
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,894

This weekend iv done not too badly with jobs needing done -
Sat- took DD1 to dancing then went to my mum and dads and we took her sledging (had wanted to spend some time with just her this weekend, middle child syndrome)
    - stripped all beds and remade
    - 3 loads of washing done and all sorted and put away for start of a new week (ironing pile still waiting for me tonight)
    - kids bathed (challenge at times as 2 hate it)
    - took them all to a birthday party
    - sweeped and mopped floors.
    - hoovered all upstairs rooms and sorted the girls rooms toys.

Thats probably all il be doing, tonight we will be going to MILS for dinner and then my ironing pile which isnt actually too bad
