help with energy bills

Hi im desperate has anyone got any advice on saving money on my gas and electric please,im currently with Utility on a prepayment metre and I've just got my usage for the last year and its that high some compare companies won't even quote me, my electric usage is 11461.256 KWper year (£160) per month and my gas is 14421.172KW per year,(£80)per month surley there must be cheaper companies out there but when comparing its showing that I will only be saving around £2 per year!!! im in a mid terrace 3 bed there are 2 adults and 4 children in the home if anyone has any suggestions id be very grateful,thank you.

That electric is ridiculous - where have you got the figures from ?
The gas is high but not impossible, again where are the usage figures from ?
The problem is that pre-pay is not the cheapest.0 -

Which supplier won't quote you based on that annual usage?
Bung your figures in a comparison site to find the best deal for you.

You may find there isn't too much between suppliers now the government/regulator has stepped in and capped PPM tariff prices0 -
If you have gas heating, how on earth are you using so much electricity?0

If you look on the OFGEM website (https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/gas/retail-market/monitoring-data-and-statistics/typical-domestic-consumption-values) as a high user they would expect you to use 17000kwh gas and 4600kwh elec giving a total usage of 21600kwh. Your gas figure is between medium and high but you elec is 2.5 time the high figure. Either your figures are wrong or you are using a lot more elec than expected.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

I’ve put all my details into a few money saving sites and they are coming up that I would save upto £20 a year but I will try again on this site thank you x0

I do have gas heating so I have no idea how I’m using so much electric,I’m so careful and make sure plugs and chargers etc are turned off when not being used and we’re all out of the house weekdays from 9-4 so irealt don’t understand it.0
