help with refund for faulty laptop bought online

Hi forumites,
I bought a Lenovo V110 laptop from laptopsdirect.co.uk; ordered on 8th January, delivered 12th January.
On Wednesday 7th February (26 days after receiving the laptop) I noticed that it was not charging when connected to the power supply. I contacted them via their website e-message chat and explained I could not return the laptop until Saturday 17th February but I wanted a refund. They replied that the return had been approved.
On Saturday 17th I returned the laptop (with original packaging) to their shop at Huddersfield.
The customer services adviser wrote that this was marked (there were marks but not scratches). Now they are saying they will deduct 10% of what I paid to cover the wear and tear.
are they entitled to do this or should I argue that I want a full (100%) refund?
Any help or guidance you can give would be greatly appreciated.
