I Have Lost My Tefal Yogurt Maker Instruction Booklet -- Help Please

Hi

I would be ever so grateful if you could help. I have an ancient tefal yogurt maker that works wonderfully ( very retro -- orange and brown and very OS style -- 10p from a Scouts jumble sale at least 15 years ago) I have lost the instruction booklet does antone have a recipe please.

From memory you have to bring approx 1 3/4 pints of milk to the near boil add 2 tbsps of milk powder add 1 yogurt carton and put in machine for ages without moving it.

Has ANYONE A MORE DEFINITIVE RECIPE PLEASE

I don't know this yogurt maker but yogurt is basically warm milk with yogurt starter kept warm for about eight hours. I would measure how much your container(s) takes by filling with water and tipping into a measuring jug. Then mix that quantity of Longlife milk or ordinary milk (heated and cooled to warm) with your yogurt (a small carton is plenty, a couple of spoonfuls is enough). Then leave for at least eight hours. I don't have good results with skimmed milk unless I add a spoonful of dried milk.

I strain yogurt to get greek style but this is just a personal preference. You then keep a couple of spponfuls of your home made yogurt to start the next batch.
