CCJ & Inheritance

I will soon be receiving inheritance but have now been told solicitor does bankruptcy checks, I have a CCJ does these mean I won’t receive my inheritance

    You will, it's not the same thing.


    Bankruptcy mean you aren't entitled to receive it.


    (I'd suggest paying the CCJ off)

    All executors have to perform a check on beneficiaries but this only extends to bankruptcy and IVAs.

    If you have any, then your creditors have to be informed by you directly, and the executor then contacts them to make payment directly to them to help clear or completely clear your debts.
