Thanks to this forum when I knocked the stone out of my engagement ring I knew to go an try independent jewellers rather than the high street store it was bought from! (my now husband was not so savvy...)

Great - I am often advocating independent jewellers. You'll also find that H Samuel will likely have to send your ring away (and several threads on here about getting the wrong one back!) whereas your indy may well have a repair dept. in house.0
