Viagogo

Options
Hi all, I’m in need of some advice please. I’ve purchased 2 tickets for a concert through viagogo. That were advertised as mid section seated and cost me over £190 for both in September. The problem is that I downloaded the tickets to print off and they’re in the last row at the very edge. The worst possible seats in the whole arena! They are only worth £35 each. What can I do? Viagogo are not interested at all.

  • Do you have proof of the advertisement? Does it state the row and seat number on the ad?
  • It was advertised as row J. This is what the seller stated they were. Obviously they knew that the tickets wouldn!!!8217;t be released for download (with the real seat number) until much later so I!!!8217;ve been completely unaware. I!!!8217;m really embarrassed about the whole thing. I!!!8217;m a full time student with children so I don!!!8217;t have a lot of money but thought I!!!8217;d treat myself for my birthday and for a break after getting through lots of exams. Now I just feel like an idiot. A skint idiot.
  • Which venue, concert?

What was the face value of Row J tickets, and Row J in which block? You're going to have paid over the odds wherever the tickets are.

When is the concert, and what have Viagogo said?

OK so if it was advertised as Row J and you bought tickets as Row J (and can prove this) but your tickets say Row T then you haven't got what you paid for which is a breach of contract.

Viagogo are upmarket ticket touts. The only difference between them and a dodgy looking bloke stood outside a venue muttering "tickets" is that they have a nice flashy website.

Tell everyone you know not to buy from them.
  • I have no proof of the advertised seats as on viagogo you can state what row the seats are but you don!!!8217;t know until the tickets are available for download. So basically the seller has lied. Where can I go from here?
  • It!!!8217;s Stereophonics at the SSC Hydro tomorrow.

What would you do if you got them from the dodgy guy outside the venue?

That is essentially what you've done.
