DRP/ Gladstones. Foolishly made a payment. HELP!!

I have read newbie thread and struggled find to something appropriate for my situation. Hopefully this. Post will be okay!
I have always taken the advice and ignored letters from companies like DRP etc. Recently I was served official court papers by Northampton County Court, through Parking Eye, and this issue was settled.
I have two PCNs that I have been ignoring for sometime now (I seem to have little luck when it comes to parking tickets etc). Recently my personal circumstances have changed and I've been experiencing a lot of stress and financial problems.
Came home a few days ago to a letter from Gladstones Solicitors stating I was being taken to court and getting a CCJ. I freaked out, in hindsight due to the stress I've been under and fear of CCJ as have awful credit as it is and spent last few years trying to improve this. I called Galdsrones like a sucker and was told by them about the two outstanding debts and threatened. I crumbled and paid one, and was told I had to make another payment on the second, I fell for their BS and paid £10 off towards the second one and agreed to a payment plan for 3 months. What an idiot! !!!128577;
Having read online now, which is something I have always done regarding this stuff, I see Galdstones are fake and part of DRP. Checked my bank and low & behold DRP is in my statements. So annoyed at myself!
Now I've entered into the payment plan can I cancel that card I have given them details for and ignore future correspondence or am I screwed from here in?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!

can I cancel that card I have given them details for and ignore future correspondence
You can but expect to have to go to court to explain your change of heart and cancelling of an agreement to pay.
The issue will always be whether the PCN was valid or not. If you agree to pay a scammer it does not mean the scam is valid. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Firstly stop ignoring parking tickets. That's what has landed you in this mess.
If this went to court, which it will if you stop paying, I wouldn't fancy your chances much.
If I'm reading it correctly Gladstone's have started proceedings and halted them on an agreement to pay. Going back on that deal would be viewed in a rather bad light by the court.0 -
Thanks for the advice.
I've ignore the tickets as that's what all the advice points to.
I did make contact initially for one of them, where I had a ticket which blew down the windscreen, however they said I couldn't appeal it.
On one occasion I was ticketed in an area that wasn't signed due to it being a new scheme. That is the one I won through the court.
Seems I will have to continue to pay them. Thanks again

WOW WOW WOW ???
You have entered into a payment plan with a scammer
You did so under duress, threats, lies and intimidation
Stop all further payments, keep the letter and any
further correspondence DRP have sent you.
You have been conned as DRP are a vagabond set up
Yes, it will annoy them, and they will send more rubbish
letters which you ignore.
DRP would suffer a courts wrath for intimidation
All DRP can do is pass it back to the PPC for the fake charge
As it probably will be Gladstones who act for the PPC,
don't worry, Gladstones are highly incompetent solicitors
Come back here if that happens and for goodness sake,
stop paying scammers0 -

No, you don't:IamEmanresu wrote: »You can but expect to have to go to court to explain your change of heart and cancelling of an agreement to pay.

Having read online now, ... I see Galdstones are fake and part of DRP.
Gladstones, (note spelling), are certainly not "fake", nor are they part of DRP. Where are you getting your information from? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Have you arranged a direct debit?
If so get on to your bank NOW and cancel it!!0
