I am reading a series on my Kobo but the final is not available from Kobo, only from Amazon as a Kindle edition.
So can I pay and download it onto my Macbook and then read it on my Kobo?

You would have to remove the copy protection and change the format. Discussing copy protection removal won't be allowed here.0

My wife reads about 100 books a year on her Kobo but she downloads them all from the county council web site. You could look to see if the books you want are available from your local library online.0

Thanks, I managed to buy from the authors website and then used Calibre, worked fine. Tried to get ebooks from local library but they don't do this.
I get free books from Kobo by doing a search starting at low price plus I get offers for free books from Free-eBooks.net0 -
There is a "Kindle for PC" download which can be used on Windows desktops and laptops. I don't know if it is available for Mac's, but all you need is an Amazon account. Once set up, any Kindle book can be downloaded to the PC.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
