Instructions on how best to complete this form are described in post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.0

Go to the newbies FAQ thread #2 to learn about court procedure.
The answer to your question is yes
Thanks,
Will have a look now. The claimant had until the 17th April to respond to my defence and on the MCOL online schedule thing it says that the claimant issued the DQ on 19th April. Should I bring this up with court?0 -
Relating to Bargepole's thread Court Claim Procedure (updated October 2016). Point 4 it says the N180 form must be returned to the county court business centre and all other parties.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but where do I send CEL a copy? Or am I getting this confused?0 -
You send it to the CEL address on the claim form, assuming they gave one.
You send a copy to CEL, original to court.0 -
Hi all,
I start a new job in September and I'm currently going through their backcheck process. Under Credit check they have a question that looks like this:
Are you aware of any intention to begin court proceedings (relating to financial recovery) against you in the future?
Now I assume i'm going to have to write yes because it will come up anyway. I've obviously come along way in this process and really want to go to the court date in November but I don't want it to jeopardise my job.
Thoughts would be much appreciated.0 -

Technically, court proceedings have already started.0 -
You can, truthfully, answer NO to that.
Proceedings have begun, they are not due to begin.
Its their fault they have asked a very precise question
This will not be visible to them - to my knowledge - as the case hasnt even been allocated.0 -
While both comments above are technically true, it would be better to ask your HR department on how to fill it out. There is a common phrase in employment cases which is "trust and confidence". You might argue technicalities on the question but it all comes down to T & C between the parties so raise the issue and get them to qualify it. You'll be OK.
And if you are not, you'd not be wanting to work for a company that takes issue with minor daily problems at this level. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks all for your advice. I decided to ring my HR representative and explain the issue, theyve said to declare and that it won't affect my application.
On to the witness statement!0 -
I fail to see why this is the business of an employer. If you dispute a plumbers bill and the plumber takes you to court, is this of any concern to anyone else? Similarly if your double glazing contractor does shoddy work, do you nt sue them?.
I have sued several companies and been sued in an RTA. I was employed by the Foreign Office, and worked occasionally for another Government Department whose offices were on the other bank of the river, I never considered informing either of them. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
