Claiming ESA abroad

I don't know enough to add anything constructive to this topic. However even if your father could continue to receive ESA payments abroad, it is far from a secure source of income on which to base a life in a country with little or no safety net!

I wonder how reassessments would be conducted, for example. He could effectively lose his benefit entitlement at any time with very little recourse to appeal.

And that is before you try and factor in Brexit.

I honestly think that Brexit is far from the most important concern for the OP and his father. My thoughts were similar to Tommo1980 regarding reassessment. Even if it was done on paper based evidence, anything provided would need to have an English translation with it if produced in another country.
I'm not trying to frighten the OP, but all the potential obstacles to claiming from abroad need to outlined before a decision is made.
What safety net is there in the Czech Republic for people living there who are long term sick?
