Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre Parking

Hi, Can anyone recommend the best place to park for the AECC. It usually takes up to an hour to get out of the official car park, and as we have baby sitters we would like to get away sharp. I've parked on the street up beside the homebase in the past but that was many years ago (not been to a concert in many years due to having kids!!)

Most of the streets round there have had parking restrictions beefed-up and events are targeted for ticketing. The Park and Ride is about the only other reasonable parking but that will still get you caught-up in the traffic from the centre.

Personally, I do my best to avoid the place as its one of the poorest "arenas" I've ever been in but the last few times I've been there, I've parked at the University on King St - Restrictions stop at 4pm and taken the service bus which goes right past the AECC on the main road. Every time I've been back on a bus within minutes of getting out, and to the Uni in just a few minutes more, which compares very favourably to the "Gig-n-Go" buses which leave from within the centre road system and usually have massive queues which must take ages to shift?
