Epson Perfection 2480 Photo Scanner Drivers

I'm in photo mode at the moment, looking through old photos (back to the late 20's) and wanted to scan them to my Desktop albums. I have a Epson Perfection 2480 Photo Scanner but find Epson do not support this with Windows 10, re Drivers and Software.

Is there a way around this or do I have to purchase a new scanner.

Any advice welcomed.

Try disconnecting the scanner , and download the Windows 7 driver , then reconnect the scanner it may work. I could suggest using a dual boot with a Linux variant , but that is up to you , of course you could try using a "live" usb of a Linux variant first see if that works. In theory the Windows Image Acquire should work with say Photoshop/GIMP/Paint etc but I am guessing really. My old flatbed scanner works with W10 and of course with Linux, most "drivers" are there to give you the manufacture's bloatware.

Does your W10 recognise the device ? No. I tried Windows 7 Driver, not successful. 'There are no drivers for your chosen operating system' tried, 7 and 8.

The Epson site states there are no drivers available for my OS (Windows 10)

And the Microsoft scan won't work with the Epson.

Try a live linux usb distro eg Ubuntu/Puppy/Fedora(which I use) . If that works with the scanner then you can then save your scans to your windows partition/other disk. Someone may know of a way to make it with W10 too

Well that's funny because I use an Epson 2480 scanner on Win 10 64bit.
I use the Win 7 32bit epson12204 available in link below,

Admittedly not all the buttons on the scanner work exacly as they should, but for scanning via the software it's fine.
