hi there - the same thing happened to me just this week! moved from Barclays over ten years ago to lloyds tsb - they said they would handle all the direct debits that needed to be moved - so we let them do that - and assumed Barclays was closed and done and dusted. had no correspondence from them for roughly 13 years - until this week when! Have raised it as a complaint - waiting to hear from them.0
