Hi folks,
Coming to you as i require a lot of help, I've been trying to bend my head around all these offered templates and other cases but simply put i am not a lawyer.
In chronological order these are the letters I've received since September 2016.
I have never received picture evidence of the claim and i do not own the vehicle anymore.
1. Dec 2016, Demand for payment £160 (DRP)
2. Jan 2017, notice of intended court action (DRP)
3. Jan 2017, reduced payment offer £136 (DRP)
4. Feb 2017, letter from Zenith reduced £79.99
5. Apr 2017, passed to BW Legal £160
6. Apr 2017, PCN £160
7. May 2017, Final notice £160
8. June 2017, letter of claim £160 with estimated totals for CC proceedings.
9. Oct 2017, same again but dates missing from letter includes deadline dates for payments
10. Jan 2018, Notice of county court claim (now in AOS awaiting my defence)
I really don't even know where to start, I've got my week off work so i have the time (4 days remaining to defend).
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for the support.

I really don't even know where to start,
Strangely enough we don't either as we haven't a clue about what you might have been doing, where and why.
Funny that. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Why the sarcasm? i sincerely apologise if I've done something incorrectly.
PCN was issued sep 2016 in Wakefield providence street, picked up on a camera and was issued due to parking without purchasing a valid pay & display ticket.
Is it not worth chasing a defence in this instance? i simply cannot remember being in the area at the time, all i remember around that time is that my car was with pumapseed in wakefield to check the syncro on my gearbox.0 -

Read what you said in the first post and tell us if you gave us something to work with. It wasn't incorrect. It was stupid (no sarcasm used)....issued due to parking without purchasing a valid
Did you buy a ticket and the machine did not record it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your posts to remove details of the driver
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you0 -
Ok, tricky stuff. But thank you.
I was not the driver at the time. Sadly, no recollection to paying for a ticket can be made (spoke with the mechanic over at pumaspeed)
From personal experience those tickets machines have always been bad in that spot and receiving the letter 3 months after doesn't help?0 -
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.
Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
in reference to the fact it was with a shop around that time.0

So are you saying the vehicle was not under your control on the material date and a mechanic parked it?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
