Hello Diary

Week Two of May and I'm doing very well I must say!
I think I have 'paid all bills' and my savings account is happy.
I'm still debt-free..I haven't carried my credit card with me for 2 weeks now :T Before it was certainly a case of 'Ah yeah, go on then stick it on the card'! ...I am determined not to hand over the plastic until June at the very earliest, bar a real emergency like vet bills. I can do this!!
This weekend just gone I actually managed 2 NSDs and to keep within the allocated cash in my purse :T Brilliant seeing as it was a long one AND gorgeous weather AND DD was with her dad, very proud moment for myself I must say.
Back to work today and I remembered to bring lunch from home so saved £3 there. I do need to buy salad bits for home so not a NSD but hopefully I can rack one up tomorrow!
Right, on with Tuesday.
See you Friday to round off my week.Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000
Savings Pot £1,440.00
Xmas 2018=£100/£300 Australia =£0.00/60000 -
Well, what can I say...June was a complete waste!
I haven't posted on my diary as I was just mortified by the fact that I have once again piled needless spends on plastic and blown our budget! I think I need an actual kick up the !!!! and a serious talking to
.
Plus Sides:
-Credit card payment is still managable, I'm still not in debt.
-I did manage to save a nice few hundred ££.
Reasons for Spending:
-I have more available cash due to living with my parents.
-I'm living with my parents and it drives me a little loopy at times...I need to escape, easiest ways are: Taking DD for lunch, Meeting a friend for lunch/dinner, Taking a bottle of wine to a friends (which results in a take away), Pub.
I'm not being hard enough on myself here, I'm not holding myself accountable enough. The threat of debt is slowly becoming a reality and it isn't one I welcome! That monster will not make itself at home in my pocket, I refuse! :mad:Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Deep breath in...and out.
I'm sat at work and it is really quiet today.
Payday has been and gone. Budgets were allocated and our entertainment pot is already looking sorry for herself
.
However, I have transferred a chunk into savings so that is a positive!
Monies left in the bank account are to cover the Direct Debits due: DO NOT TOUCH!
I had my last ever ciggie this morning...they are done with...no more!
That should be a nice little saving.
I do enjoy a glass of wine out on the weekends and I'm not willing to give that up, however I do plan on going from a large to a medium. Not a huge saving but every little helps.
Both of these 'Promises' are not only money saving but good for my health :T
I had a pot of hummus that needed eating up and I brought celery at 54p so that is my morning snack. Should be enough left over for tomorrow too.
I remembered to bring lunch - Bonus points!
There will not be another spend today.Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

I have updated my signature to reflect what is actually going on here.
This is what I have control over.
I do have a nice house deposit but it is inheritance and not in my name so we'll leave him out of this for now as I won't actually 'see' him.
I don't have a target for my savings, I just want them to grow and then use this as either house deposit or just a little nest egg...Of course that might all change depending on circumstances.Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000
