My Google Chrome appears to be up to date Google: Chrome is up to date
Version 64.0.3282.167 (Official Build) (64-bit), yet it does not indicate the new ad blocker under pop-up in settings as it should. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but the ad blocker does not appear.
In any case, I use Ghostery but I was interested to see how the new blocker operates. For various reasons, it is essential that I remove the type of advertisements, such as the Daily Express, which completely fill all white space with an enormous advert.

I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Opera Browser users have been utilising Browser ad-blocking for nearly two years now.

Google could have done it a long time ago, especially since they are the same browsers underneath.
But since their model depends on allowing ads, it's not surprise that they are deliberately waaaaay behind the curve on this one. Their implementation is deliberately ineffective.
Have a little read; http://blogs.opera.com/news/2018/02/google-chrome-turns-on-bas-ad-blocking-step-a-little-too-late/0 -
Thank you, EveryWhere, regrettably Opera might have been a good choice but it is incompatible with the hands-free and voice recognition software but I need to use. There are certainly pros and cons with Chrome, but on the whole, it has the best level of compatibility across the range of browsers.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Only today did I get the update: Google Chrome is up to date
Version 64.0.3282.186 (Official Build) (64-bit). Strange how it took so long.

uBlock Origin (not to be confused with uBlock) is a good ad-blocker. There's a Chrome version here:

Thank you, I have been using Ghostery, but this application also seems to be pretty good. I'm looking most to move the type of advertisements that completely fill the margins. I'm trying to use my system hands-free, so these massive adverts are diversionary.uBlock Origin (not to be confused with uBlock) is a good ad-blocker. There's a Chrome version here:
