Holly, I can only echo what others have said. Keep us up to date.0

Good Morning chums and hugs for Holly today as its been an awful time for her.
I wonder sometimes if it shouldn't be for the so-called 'professionals' to 'physicians heal thy self' or have they forgotten the first premise of Drs to 'First do no harm'.
Its disgusting how you have been 'treated' and I do hope you can get something resovled today. My thoughts are with you today, and I am sure everyone on here wish you nothing but the best. Keep popping in to update us honey we are all rooting for you.
Well this morning is an ironing morning, then off to DDs after lunch to walk her two little dogs, then wait for the boys to come home from school.
Still pondering which frying pan to buy I deceided that its going to have to be a good one no matter what the price as its going to hopefully see me outSo a bit more research this afternoon and probably a natter with eldest DD as she is also good at winckling out bargains
February is alomost over thank goodness so the lighter nights will soon be here and with them hopefully some warmer weather. My DGD Katie's baby girl is due next month so March looks as though it will be eventful.
Right the kettle has just boiled, and I am in need of a cuppa.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to the poories ,sad and lonely folk who need one
Take care chums of both yourselves and each other

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially Holly, I really hope that a way can be found to allow you to stay at home. I have to admit I do not know an awful lot about mental health, it was never my field, but it seems very cruel to me the way you are being treated.
Well the car is back and the bill was £154. ouch!! I will never try to overtake a manitou again even if I have to travel 50 miles behind it. He wandered so far over the road he almost pushed us into the hedge. OH was furious.
I was going to go into Melton this morning but we have a heavy frost, so no way........my quilting friend rang yesterday, she has phlebitis and has to go this morning for a scan on her leg, so we have arranged to go tomorrow instead. I am very worried about her, she can hardly get around.
Think it will be quiche for supper I have one in the freezer, will do jacket spuds and baked tomato's with it, I can do the quiche in the Remoska on the trivet and the tomato underneath, saves washing up!! Making creme caramel for dessert will do a couple of days.
OH is almost back to himself, he has started washing up again for me which is a great help. I wished every day he was ill that I had a dish washer but there is no way I can get one in here, they do not consider that old people need to cook, the work space in the kitchen is very poor.0 -
Good morning all,
Pooch walked, kitchen tidied, cuppas drunk.I want to go to Morries this morning instead of tomorrow as the dgc will be here & and its DH birthday so it might be a bit chaotic.
Holly- sending positive thoughts and keep on doing practical stuff and also posting if it feels like it helps.I'm glad you had a friend with you last night. The Daily thread has its arms around you, wish we could do more :grouphug:
Nelski- youve found me out  I'm afraid my meat & potato pie wasnt a recipe at all -it was just some leftover tater hash I'd frozen in an enamel pie tin.I just let it defrost and popped a bought pastry lid on it( oh the shame :rotfl:)Still went down well with mushy peas and pickled beetroot.
Floss,ah yes you'll be on the same train line. The whole station was shut completely last summer for a few weeks. We did try one of the replacement buses they put on to get into Manchester- it took about 90 mins to do a normal 20 min train run,not doing that again. It is also now affecting some weekdays too, don't know how people get on working in M/cr .I suppose it'll be good when its all done
Hope Speky gets on well at his interview today.
Take care everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Csarina was there any indication who belonged to the Manitou so you could claim the cost from them? Or are they common farm vehicles near your home village? The police may contact the owner if you have the registration number.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Floss, there are numerous farm vehicles on the roads around the villages, OH did not have a chance to get the number, when I pulled in to inspect the damage he whizzed by and disappeared.......... I am certain that the vehicle was travelling too fast on the road, but cannot prove it. It certainly was when he took off.
I have put it down to an expensive experience which I hope will never be repeated. We need to get the replacement mirror sprayed, the green is not a match for the British Racing Green of the car. Its really bright green and does spoil the look of the car somewhat especially if I want to sell the car at a later date. I am wondering whether to get the dent in the boot lid repaired and get them to spray the mirror at the same time. Will see what the garage man says when I go to pay him.0 -
Holly please can you contact MIND and your MP ASAP - that last point is quite worrying...it may be a game-changer in your favour if the Act is not being followed to the letter.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Holly, I worked for the Community Mental Health team for the last 10 years of employment before retirement. I also had one informal admission to a psychiatric unit when I was severely depressed so I have some idea how upset and frightened you are. Please do look at the MIND site, it gives very clear information about section 3 compulsory admissions. I do hope you will get the right treatment and ongoing support that you need. Lots of online support and hugs on this thread.
I went to a local Fine Arts auction this morning and a pair of Chinese plaques sold for £70,000!! I think I will stick to household auctions in future more my bracket.0 -
Afternoon all
Holly I am also rooting for you. I hope the " professionals " realise that you don't need hospitalisation, only some help at home. You sound quite together and sane to me, I don't think I would be handling the situation as well as you. I shall also pop in during the day for an update. Meanwhile I am sending positive vibes with all my heart and loads of hugs.
We went to town this morning for the usual bread, milk etc and into local FFoods to get Dad some ice cream as it's on offer. We don't usually use this FF as there is no parking nearby and we can't carry much. We normally use the over the mountain one as we can park right outside.
This afternoon I have done some light dusting and here is a load in the WM and then another in waiting. How come the wash basket was nearly empty yesterday and today there's enough for 2 loads ? Must be that naughty washing elf filling it up when my back is turned :rotfl:.
Dad's coming to tea tonight so we will have fish. chips and mushy peas and Mr Fix It will have SF chicken and chips.
Hugs all round, see you later.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0
