You sound wise Graham. How have your own predictions over the last decade of a crash worked out?

Do you still live with your mummy? Must be fun in your forties.

    Harsh, but fair.

The stage is being set for the next rate change to be a reduction in interest rates - not a rise, and more QE.

The stage has also been set to let the inflation target go.

BOE cannot control inflation though. With low wage growth, pressures are external.

There are too many vested interest that want higher rates for their own ends, the BOE has done a good job as evidence by the facts.
There are just as many if not more with a vested interest in keeping rates low and more importantly they are the ones in charge.
Carney has cried wolf so many times and I think the the foreign exchange markets will soon become wise to him(They should have years ago). How many times has Carney dangled the carrot of a rate increase to cause sterling to rise, only to pull the rug out from under them? This tactic has worked time after time but sooner or later it won't and people will not fall for it anymore causing the pound to plummet. Then we will test the theory that was espoused after the brexit vote that sterling was overvalued when it his party with the dollar.

The original poster, the one who asked what interest rate I was talking about, has posted on numerous threads since I posted so telling me to grow a pair is a bit out of order chump!
