PCN(NtKs) is canceled from ASDA

I just want to share my successful experience with PCN from ASDA.
The ASDA where I shopped located inside the area of huge shopping center, which consists of many big stores. I spent around 3 hours and a half minutes only at the ASDA including 1) clothing shopping on the first floor of George section, 2) collection of click & collection order, 3) returning an item from previous click & order, and 4) grocery shopping on the ground floor). I was satisfied with my shopping at the ASDA but after 5 days later I've got £70 PCN (Notice to Keeper) delivered to my house.
I didn't appeal on their website, which was indicated on the backside of PCN but made an official complaint to the manger of ASDA as a loyal customer who spent too long for shopping.
I included my 4 receipts (around £150), which indicate exact time and date and they canceled the PCN! They informed me I can ask to their customer service if I need extra time for shopping beyond the maximum 3 hours. I also checked the PCN is canceled on the ParkingEye website.
I have an unsuccessful experience on making an appeal on the website (with university). And this time, contacting to a representative of a landowner was effective. I've got this tips from Newbies posts. Thanks.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.
Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Well done latteholic
It's always the first action to take, complain to the supermarket
with proof of being a good customer.
If everyone did this immediately, even taking it to the
CEO, these parking cowboys would earn less money0 -

Is there any signage either in the car-park or instore informing customers of this concession? Or are you supposed to be a clairvoyant or mind-reader to know you can request this? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Exactly No. That's very good point. There was no signage informing that sort of procedures anywhere in the parking area and in the store.trisontana wrote: »Is there any signage either in the car-park or instore informing customers of this concession? Most of the Asda stores notices I've seen - both PE and Smart before them - do have a 'Need Longer?' paragraph. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Surely the top sign, (PE), would not be capable of forming a contract with that raft of text in very small type. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

That great sea of minuscule text is standard practice for Parking Eye signs. What makes it worse is that many of those signs are way too far up from the ground to read. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
