It is not a fine, it is an invoice issued under The Law of Contract, but surely in the first instance this is a matter between you and your employer. You need to understand the game these scammers play.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

ItEveryone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this. Company vehicle drivers are covered there

If you have further questions after reading this then post them here
• I know its not a fine am wanting any advice to appeal. do I still have opportunity to appeal . if left with my employer the pcn would be payed and my wages docked which is a different issue. so to avoid that I would like advice on whether the template letters are stil viable after appeal period has elapsed so I can get the invoice dismissed
• unable to find info on how to proceed after appeals time has elapsed on the hired leased or company car advice

You really do need to speak to your employer. They may have denied you your right to appeal the PCN.

Why would you employer pay this? It is an invoice issued under contract law, just like an electricity bill. All they have to do is name you as driver. Read about the game you have joined below.

Do you mean 15th Jan is the issue date of the letter sent to your company (Not the PCN date)?

Did your employer write to give your name as the usual keeper of the vehicle? For your sake and theirs, they MUST write and do so, asap, NOW.

It removes their potential liability, and means YOU should then receive a PCN to appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
