Stubhub refusing refund

I’m wondering if anyone can help?

I bought some football tickets last Monday for a football match for Saturday, just gone. I turned up at the venue to be told the match had been rescheduled 2 weeks ago and is being held next week.

So I came home and emailed Stub Hub. The emailed me back on Monday to tell me the match had been rescheduled for next week and I can use my tickets for that event and they will not be refunding.

I emailed back saying that at no time during or after making the transaction was I made aware that the match wasn’t taking place on the day I had purchased the tickets for so I believe they were not fit for purpose. I wanted to go to a match on Saturday, not next week.

They say sorry and offer me £10 credit to my stub hub account. I refused and asked what the next steps were and someone emailed me back and this time offered me £30 credit to my account. I don’t want a credit to my account because I will not be using them again. I just want my money back for the tickets.

Do I have any rights? Am I somehow in the wrong?

Many thanks.

Id check the questions bit but normally when stuff have been rescheduled it's just valid for the next match. Worth a try and I'd keep the credit too
