Non Fault Accident Claim - Declare?

Hi All,
My wife is a named driver on my policy which was involved in an accident last year, it was deemed by both parties as not her fault.
We now want to have a car each but unsure who I put the claim down on when applying for new insurance? Both, just me, just my wife?
I don't want to get this wrong and end up having a problem.
Please help

You need to declare the accidents for all named drivers. You need to declare the accident on her policy, and on yours, if your wife is to be a named driver on your policy.0

Hi ValiantSon
Thanks for your response, I'm not going to name my wife on my new policy as a named driver nor will I be a named driver on her new policy.
Do we both still need to declare this incident on our own individual policies?
Thanks0 -
She discloses it to her insurers.
You disclose it to your Insurers0 -

No
According to the op his wife will no longer be a named driver which is why the claim must be disclosed as part of the op's claim history (assuming the claim was dealt with via his insurer)0 -
Hi Both,
Yes the claim was made through my insurance when my wife was a named driver
That’s pretty harsh if we both have to declare the non fault accident, especially seen as it wasn’t anything to do with me.
But thanks for the advice!

Sadly that's one of the risks you take when adding people onto your own insurance policy. All your base are belong to us.0
