Do I qualify as a first time buyer?

Seven years ago I sold my house and moved in with my partner. I didn't reinvest the money and I was not a co-owner of his house. The relationship has ended and I have come away empty handed. With the rise in property prices, the money from the sale of my house isn't enough to buy me a house now and I'm struggling to get back on the property ladder. I need to apply for a mortgage. If it's not a silly question, do I technically qualify as a first time buyer again?

No, if you have ever owned a property you are no longer a ftb, irrespective of whether you made or lost money in the meantime0

You can still get help to buy on new builds though, (i know a few people think it's just for ftb's)0
